For the Chaos Wars this year we have set up a preregistration Form. So fill out the form if you are planning to attend and send it via snail mail with the money and the completed form to the address below.

The Chaos Wars III will be held August 5th,6th,7th, and 8th, 1999. It will be held at Somerville Manor in Lava Hot Springs, ID. The Chaos Wars will officially start at 2:00pm on Thursday, Aug. 5th and run until Sunday, Aug 8th. Sunday is pretty much the clean up and go home day. The fee will be $20 with preregistration or $25 at the gate. The fee will change based on when you show. If you are not planning until attending on Friday or Saturday, contact me if you need to know how much the fee will be.We will accept preregistration as of June 1, 1999.
The site fee includes a lunch on Friday and a feast on Saturday. All other meals you will have to furnish for yourself. There will be food to buy on site and there is a local market just two miles from the site.
The site we have chosen is a Medieval Living Farm. We have been informed by the good gentle who owns the land that we are hosting the event at that he has had made some pence and halfpence for trade purposes at the event. They will be bought for a dollar or half-dollar and will count for the worth of a dollar or half-dollar at the merchant's booth or inn. The merchant's booth will have live steel, tankards, jewelry, and other period related items. There will also be a merchant selling feasting gear for good prices. The site is a damp site. For those of you unfamiliar with this term. A damp site does not mean that there will not be any drinking. It just means that you will have to control yourselves. Alcohol will be allowed on the site but none will be sold on the site. Public drunkenness is prohibited. Underage drinking will not be permitted. The legal drinking age in Idaho is 21. The site is also a smoke-free site all smoking will be restricted to the designated areas.
There will be cottages available to sleep in. The cottages are replicas of period housing and one can sleep three to four comfortably. The other is designed for one person but if you would like to put more in there you are welcome. The cottages are $15 and $10 a night. There is also a period Inn up which will have a loft above it which will be available to sleep in a common bunkhouse fashion. Sleeping in the Inn is $3 a night. Also there will be camp sites with a fire pit and room to pitch a tent (does not have to be a period tent). Camp sites are free. If you are planning to rent a cottage for the event it needs to be mentioned when you preregister. The cottages are on a first come, first serve basis. Preregistration has first dibs (please mention which nights you would like to rent the cottage and include the money for the rental with your preregistration, your money will be refunded if the cottages were already taken.) After that will be those who show up first.
The Event will be a Dagorhir event, although we are inviting all groups that would like to attend. We will be using the Chaos Wars Rules. There will be a War Council regarding the rules for the Chaos Wars. We are asking each group attending to provide a representative to be at the War council meeting. There will be things discussed at the council such as a basic weapon construction and requirements. Bring your ideas for all to hear. Any rules or adaptations that will be set at the War Council will only be restricted to and for the Chaos Wars, they do not change the National Dagorhir rules or affect the rules for Ragnarok or any other event held by a Dagorhir group using the national rules.
For eating purposes you need to bring your own feasting gear. If you do not have your own bring a little extra cash and we will have a merchant selling feasting gear for a good price.
