Chaos Wars '97
The Chaos Wars
will be held August 14,15,16, and 17th, 1997. It will be held at Somerville Manor in Lava Hot Springs, ID. The Chaos Wars will officially start at 2:00pm on Thurs., Aug. 14th and run until 4:00 Sun, Aug 17th.

The Chaos Wars will be held August 14,15,16, and 17th, 1997. It will be held at Somerville Manor in Lava Hot Springs, ID. The Chaos Wars will officially start at 2:00pm on Thurs., Aug. 14th and run until 4:00 Sun, Aug. 17th.
The fee has been set to the Chaos Wars. The fee will be $20 with preregistration, and $25 at the gate. Make payable to Somerville Manor. A lunch will be provided on Friday 15th, and a feast will be provided on Saturday 16th. We will post a menu as soon as we know what it will be. With preregistration please send who the money is for (real names, persona, and Group Affiliation) and when you expect to arrive. If you would like you can use the Rag XII preregistration forms as a reference for the information in which to send. It has all that we will need to know.
The site we have chosen is a Medieval Living Farm. We have been informed by the gentleman who owns the land that we are hosting the event at that he has had made some pence and halfpence for trade purposes at the event. They will be bought for a dollar and will count for the worth of a dollar at the merchant’s booth or tavern. The site is a damp site. Public drunkenness is prohibited. Alcohol will be allowed on the site but none will be sold on the site. Underage drinking will not be permitted. The legal drinking age in Idaho is 21. The site is also a smoke-free site all smoking will be restricted to the designated areas in the parking area.
There will be houses available to sleep in they are $10 - $12 a night. The houses are replicas of period housing and can sleep three to four comfortably. There should also be an Inn up which will have a loft above it which will be $1 a night. Plus there will be camp sites where you can pitch a tent, there is no charge for the camp sites.
The Event will be a Dagorhir event, although we are inviting all groups that would like to attend. We will be using the National Dagorhir Rules. There will be a War Council regarding the rules for our area a representative will be asked from each group that attends. Each group shall have one vote. There will be things discussed at the council such as a basic weapon construction and requirements. Bring your ideas for all to hear. Any rules or adaptations that will be set at the War Council will only be restricted to and for the Chaos Wars, they do not change the National Dagorhir rules or affect the rules for Ragnarok or any other event held by a Dagorhir group using the national rules.

Some of the battles that are planned to occur are:
Treasure Quest
"Battle" in which you must solve clues to find a treasure.
Rouge Hunt
War of the archers.
All For One
The only one you need to worry about is yourself.
Warlord Battle
Warlords conquer armies to gain warriors for a final battle.
Absorption Battle
Warriors switch sides based on defeat.
Border Wars
The war of the Tribes.
Territorial Flag Battle
Battle to gain control of the most "flags" in a set amount of time.
Pillage the Village
Battle to try to collect as many tokens as possible.
Castle Battle
Charge the castle.
Some pickup battles we have planned are:Dragon Fight
Battle agianst a dragon in hopes of victory.
Werewolf Battle
Testing your wits and skill against the werewolves, see how long you stay human.
Treasure Tourney
Put forth your "treasure" in a bout of skill.
